TSL2561 Luminance Sensor Breakout Card is an advanced light sensor with a flat response across most of the visible spectrum. Unlike simpler sensors, the TSL2561 measures infrared and visible light to better capture the response of the human eye. Since the TSL2561 is an integrated sensor (absorbs light for a predetermined time) it can measure both small and large light quantities by varying the integration time. TSL2561 can directly communicate with I2C and easily realize specific light ranges from 0.1 - 40k + Lux. In addition, the TSL12561 includes two integrated analog-to-digital converters (ADC) that simultaneously combine two photodiode currents. Each breakout requires a supply voltage of 3V and a low supply current of 0.6mA.
