Force Sensitive Circular Sensor 0.6 inch

Force sensitive resistors, a passive component produced by Interlink Electronics, decrease in resistance values in proportion to the force applied to the active circular area of 5mm diameter.

PFT (Polymer Thick Film) device is optimized to detect forces in the range of a few grams to 10 kg in touch-controlled electronic devices. The product can be easily used in touch interface projects and various robotic applications.

In the tests performed on the product, it reached the resistance values of 1MΩ when no force was applied on the product, and 100kΩ when it was increased to 10 kg. The values occurring against the applied force have high consistency.

It has been observed in the tests that the product produces constant values in repeated constant force applications. The resistance value range of the product can work directly with the internal pull-ups found in many microcontrollers such as AVR and PIC.

The product is sensitive enough to detect light quick touches and vibrations of small vibration motors.

Note:The product is not suitable for sensitivity and strength measurements. Force accuracy range can vary from 5% to 25% under various conditions. The resolution is better than 0.5% of the entire value range.
