Solar Power Manager Micro,It is a micro power, high efficiency solar power management module designed to power IoT based low power wireless sensors or controllers with 1V ~ 3V small size solar panels. Taking advantage of extremely low power consumption and MPPT (maximum power point tracking), the module maximized the conversion efficiency of sunlight under poor sunlight. These features allow low power wireless devices to be built using pure solar energy without charging or changing batteries.
The module uses the constant voltage ratio MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm to maximize the solar panel's output power under various sunlight. It can charge a 3.7V lipo battery via solar or USB, provide charging current up to 70mA or 100mA respectively. A 3.3V 90mA regulated output can handle the burst current of most low power wireless devices while sending or receiving. In low power solar projects, lipo battery may experience excessive discharge problem when it is cloudy for days or the capacity of the battery cannot meet the needs of the device. Battery overcharge and overdischarge protections are designed to prevent such problems that prolong battery life.
